Fashion Forward, a Project Runway style competition held within the Clark County High School District is in full swing once again. Conceived by the Junior League of Las Vegas, it has offered hundreds of students the opportunity to bring their fashion design visions to fruition with the support of several respected members of the Las Vegas Fashion community, including gracious fabric donations by Star Costume and sage advice by educator Kevin Smith of Stitch Factory.
Our Junior Editing team was able to speak with some of the contestants during their visit to Star Costume to select fabric for their designs. In this interview, our junior editor Yves Nguyen speaks with Las Vegas High School student Caitlin Orozco about her design vision and aspirations.
Runway show will take place on April 2nd. @ Fashion Show Mall. More details and additional interviews to follow. For more info please visit the JLLV website.
